Freeflow Drain Specialists Introduce Upsized Model to their Fleet

LARGE SCALE DRAIN CLEANING EQUIPMENT OPENS DOORS TO NEW MARKETS

A couple of months ago Freeflow Drain Specialists had Kerrick custom fit a compact drain cleaning system into the back of one of their vans Their experience using the machine was so positive they came back to Kerrick to have an upsized self-contained drain cleaning truck built to round out their fleet of equipment.

Like with the compact van unit the larger truck version would be fully self-contained removing the need for a trailer, whilst still providing mobile access to sites (unlike stationary skids). This more powerful drain cleaner operates at a pressure of 5075 psi and 57 l/min making it ideal for heavy duty sewer cleaning work and removing pipe blockages. The Italian Pratissoli pump was coupled to a 73 hp MWM industrial diesel engine. Other features included a low water cut off system which prevents the pump from running dry and causing damage as well as a mounted battery and fuel tank.

The 900 litre transport water tank and galvanised hose reel were mounted at the rear of the vehicle allowing work to be carried out easily on almost all sides of the truck, reducing the need for multiple manoeuvres to re-position the large vehicle to get access to sites. One hose reel was fitted with 50m of 19mm low pressure hose for easy tank filling, one was fitted with 150m of 3/8” high pressure hose for drain cleaning work and 30m of ¼” whip hose was also supplied to assist cleaning drain traps etc.

This larger drain cleaner allows the Freeflow to take on more of the high end, heavy duty contracting jobs that smaller machines can’t tackle. Similar to the van pack they purchased previously the drain cleaning system was designed to fit snugly in the rear of the truck leaving room free for other tooling and equipment.
