Advantage Plumbing are drainage specialists who are based in Queenstown, but also operate across the Christchurch region. Having a number of contracts that involved flushing and inspecting drains, the client approached Kerrick to manufacture a mobile trailer unit that could keep up with heavy wear and tear associated with the drain cleaning industry.
Advantage Plumbing required a drain and sewer cleaner with the following specifications: The unit needed to run 3000 psi at 30 l/min, be mounted on a galvanized steel trailer and have a pivoting hydraulic hose reel with 100m of light weight 3/8 hose. In addition a hose reel with 30m of ¾ plastic feeder hose was supplied to fill the large 450 l tank. The trailer mounted pressure cleaner also came with a 24HP V Twin Honda motor and Udor pump running at 1450 RPM. A wash down gun was supplied as standard.
After the devastating Christchurch earthquakes Advantage Plumbing used their Kerrick drain and sewer cleaner to carry out a large number of drain cleaning and inspection projects. The unit stood up well to the conditions and is still used widely across the Queenstown and Christchurch regions today.
