Kerrick Pressure Cleaner Saves James Hardie Money

Kerrick
SAVE MONEY & BECOME SELF SUFFICIENT WITH INDUSTRIAL WASHDOWNS

James Hardie is a leading international building materials company and a global leader in fibre cement, one of the world's fastest growing building products. Over the years Kerrick has supplied them with pumps for their plant’s built in cleaning system. This system however does not reach the entire plant and the client has in the past had to bring in contractors to water blast these hard to reach areas.

Duncan Garland and Mihai Mironov worked with James Hardie to come up with an economic and efficient solution. The result being a trailer mounted heavy duty water blaster. The unit has a diesel Kohler engine, driven by an Interpump pump which produces 5000 psi at 20 litres per minute.

The trailer was fitted with a large 450 litre water tank that provides operators the freedom to work over long periods of time without continually needing to find a water source to refill the tank. It was also equipped with two hose reels, one with high pressure two wire hose and one with low pressure feeder hose to fill the tank. In keeping with the client’s safety requirements the machine was supplied with both a foot valve and gun.

The purchasing of this unit means that James Hardie no longer have to deal with the costs associated with bringing in contractors, they also now have a mobile unit that allows them to deal with emergency clean ups at any time. This water blaster trailer is an example of how Kerrick can help clients with a range of needs from supplying and servicing existing equipment over the long term to troubleshooting and designing solutions to increase efficiency.
